Special Skills

On land I speak a moderate amount of Spansih, a bit of French, some basic ASL, as well as a smattering of other lnaguages; such as German, Japanese, Irish, Chinese and Russian.  I enjoy learning ALL languages, and wish I could learn every one- worldwside- past, present & future!  Undersea I speak a bit of Dolphin, Seal, Hawk & Falcon, Crow, Cheetah, Goat, Dog and Cat.  I feel it is VITAL that we merfolk be well-rounded, well-learned and open to new ideas, so I enjoy learning at every turn! ^_^  I also excel at acting, bringing life to a character, and as you might have guessed, have a good ear alongside a knack for vocal mimickry.  So I love playing with accents (including a variety of English, American UK and world accents), as well as stage work and voice acting. :),

Beyond these, I also sing (S1-T1), draw, write, paint, make polymer clay goods, yarn falls, hair flowers, beaded jewelry, and also enjoy design & crafing of all sorts.  Plus, I have been known to dabble in drumming and the playing of various instruments.  (Which, while I do not read music, I have an excellent ear and can usually pick things up quickly.)   In addition, I have been practicing bellydance (beginning with Cabaret and continuing to Tribal Fusion) for the past 5 years. :)  My teachers have included Galena of MD, Belladonna Boheme of DC/VA, Ashley Lopez of CA/OR, and various others in workshops.

Lastly, as a person with a visual impairment, I can also offer a lifetime of first-hand experience in working with people who have a wide variety special needs.  I have taken ASL courses, learned basic Braille & advanced mobility skills due to my own history, am familiar with a variety of needs when working with people in various special physical cercumstances.  Because of my own situation and the many wonderful people I have become associated with due to my own condition, I can offer you a uniquely personalized & heartfelt empathy when working with those who might have special circumstances.  But most of all, I love doing what I do, beit with kids who were head of the class or people who may need extra help.  My aim is to bring everyone joy and lift EVERYONE up, and that to me, is boundless. ♥
